Presentation of processes
Consistent representation is absolutely essential for the understanding and successful documentation of processes. OVGU uses the standardized “Business Process Model and Notation” (BPMN 2.0) for this purpose. The focus of BPMN is on notation, i.e. the graphical representation of processes. A series of specific symbols and connectors are used for this purpose. BPMN defines the semantics of the symbols and also specifies a certain arrangement of these. In addition to the standardized symbols and clarity, the advantages of the notation include the clear representation of responsibilities and accountabilities, even for complex processes.
